The Grizzlies were on the road again on Sunday 2nd March, this time travelling up to Ormskirk to face off against St Helens Saints.
St Helens came into the game with a strong record in the league positioned in 3rd place.
The Grizzlies started brightly and were able to take plenty chances that came their way in the game, putting together some neat attacks, hitting good shots and had the beating of their opposition on attacking rebounds.
However the Saints were ruthless on quick counters, especially in the first half, and that ultimately proved the difference, and despite a strong second-half showing from the Grizzlies it was St Helens that took the win 85-47.
Coach Ryan Anderson was pleased with the performance despite defeat; “We got off to a great start but they caught us cold too many times in the first half on the break. We grew into the game as it progressed though, and more than matched them in the final quarter. If we can play like that in the remaining fixtures we’ll finish the season strongly.”
MVP: Liam Cartlidge

MVP was awarded to Liam Cartlidge, who was aggressive on rebounds, both offensively and defensively, and was a key part of the Grizzlies’ good display in the second half.
