Our U16s took the long trip up the M6 to Preston on Saturday 25th January to play their first looking for back-to-back victories in the NBL.
It was a story of missed chances though for the Grizzlies, with the team unable to finish consistently in the first half, whilst also being unable to stop Preston’s attacks as they ended the half 35-26 down.
The second half saw Preston hit a string of shots from range to rack up the points and take the game away from Congleton. Josh Leah was able to keep the scoreboard ticking upwards for the Grizzlies with some strong drives that reaped rewards, but it wasn’t enough and Preston took the win, final score 66-43.
MVP: Josh Leah

MVP was Josh Leah, as voted for by his teammates, who put in a top performance through the game and was a constant threat to Preston’s defence.
