On Sunday 8th December, the Grizzlies welcomes Preston to Congleton for Game 10 of their NBL season.

The two teams were neck-and-neck throughout a fast paced and physical first quarter. It started with a bang, with Lennon hitting a 3 to open the scoring for the Grizzlies. The scoreboard ticked over quickly for both teams, amongst a flurry of infringements, with both teams reaching 4 team fouls quickly before the quarter finished 15-16, with the Grizzlies well in it.

The 2nd quarter was a very similar story, with some great center play from Jo and Liam earning more baskets to help the Grizzlies rack up another 16 points, but Preston found joy themselves and kept their noses just in front, closing out the first half with a score of 31-33.

The 2nd half remained saw a great battle continue, with Rohan hitting a 3 either side of more good finishes from Jo and Judah. But Preston were equally as dangerous and edged further ahead, finishing Q3 7pts up at 40-47.

The Grizzlies went for it in the final quarter, with more good work from Josh forcing fouls, and a quick-fire pair of baskets from Ben and another classy 3 from Lennon saw the Grizzlies looking to stage a late comeback. But Preston hit a 3 of their own and broke well to turn the heat down, and were able to close out the game with a final score of 52-57.
