The U14s Grizzlies hosted Lancashire Spinners on Sunday 23rd February in the North West Regional League, looking to bounce back from defeat last time out vs Barrow.
The visitors made a strong start and were able to run into a 15pt lead by the end of Q1. The Grizzlies managed to grab their first open-play baskets in Q2, but the Spinners were clinical in their finishing and went into half time lead of 28pts.
The Grizzlies were more aggressive in Q3 and found more success going forwards, playing a good passing game at times, but their opponents were strong on rebounds and finishing to stretch the lead further. In Q4, the Grizzlies continued their good forward play and were also able to keep out more Spinners attacks with good defensive work, but it was visitors that closed out the game 24-74 to take the win.

MVP was awarded to Henry Tonge, who top scored with 10pts for Congleton.
