The Grizzlies U17s squad made it back-to-back victories in the WeGotNext League, staging a second-half comeback to beat Hanley Hustlers Black 32-28.
It was a low scoring first half for both teams, with neither able to consistently take their chances, finishing 8-9 to the Hustlers.
But the Grizzlies fought back well and found their range after the break to rack up the points, and defended well on rebounds to take control of the game - and despite a spirited performance from the young Hustlers team they couldn't come back and the Grizzlies secured the win.
Coach Ryan Anderson was delighted with the win and performance;
“It was an exciting game and the players showed a lot of character today. Once they began to put their training into practice in the second half they showed what they are all about.”
MVP: Ben Wells
MVP was awarded to Ben Wells, whose all-action performance and running stretched the opposition's defence to help claim the win.
