Despite a top effort from the team of 6 players, it wasn't our day today, as Reddock Rockets took the win against our U17s in the WGNL Battle for 3rd.
The lads made a stunning start to the game and raced into a Q1 lead, scoring a string of sublime baskets - and they continued to battle well to get to half time 15-14 up.
However, a combination of players racking up fouls, fatigue, and a much improved 2nd half performance from our opponents saw the Rockets take the win, to grab the knockout tournament's 3rd place award.
This wraps up our U17s WGNL season -
Coach Ryan said - "it's been another great year for the league helping our player's development, as we balanced WGNL fixtures alongside our debut NBL season. We achieved some great wins, scored some great baskets, and had no shortage of dramatic moments. I am proud of how the players have handled everything this season."
